Furry, kind bunny

On Tuesday, February 17, 2009, Mommy's best bunny friend crossed the rainbow bridge. He was suffering from diarrhea before he visited the vet. Unfortunately, the vet could not figure out what was causing it. Carrot passed at the vet's office in the presence of his loving family.

I never got a chance to visit Carrot, but Mommy had a great time with him. When Mommy first met Carrot, he was very shy and would hide when someone tried to pet him. With a lot of people socializing, within a couple of weeks, Carrot was ready for Mommy to play with him. He was still shy at first, but when Mommy laid on the floor, Carrot got the courage to hop all over her. Mommy was quite surprised when he first hopped on her and walked around on her back. Within another couple of weeks, Mommy didn't even have to lay on the floor for Carrot to come by; he would just hop by and wait for a greeting (and a dried papaya treat). After trying out different treats, Mommy and Carrot's family figured out that he LOVED the dried papaya. Mommy thought it was so cute when Carrot would take the tiny papaya treat from her hands and nibble on it until he finished the whole thing.

Carrot will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. He was such a sweet bunny.

May Carrot rest in peace.
